Baltimore’s premier dance festival, Moonrise, will once again take over the city’s Pimlico Race Course on August 6 and 7 for its third edition. Last year, the annual two-day event made major strides when it locked down Bassnectar and Above & Beyond to headline the 2015 festival. For 2016, Moonrise looks to continue its efforts to be bigger and better with an extraordinary phase 1 lineup, lead by Bassnectar, Tiesto, and Zedd.
Outside of the headliners, the 2016 bill features an assortment of bass-heavy acts like Excision, Flux Pavilion, Flosstradamus, Marshmello, and NGHTMRE; rap standouts like Young Thug and Tyler the Creator; and a number of house favorites including Jauz, Oliver Heldens, and Tchami. The festival also boasts an exciting undercard with Anna Lunoe, Justin Jay, Kayzo, Lost Kings, Sam Gellaitry, and Unlike Pluto earning spots on the lineup.
Last year, Moonrise added Knife Party during its phase 2 announcement so fans who look to attend the festival should keep their eyes peeled to see what surprises the festival has in store for this year.
