Refune producer Salvatore properly introduces himself with new mini documentary

You may know him as the recent Ingrosso-backed Refune signee, but there’s more than meets the eye to Salvatore. The sleeper producer has worked with the likes of Trinidad James, Pusha T and Jillionaire before stepping more prominently into the spotlight with “Dive.”

Now Salvatore more properly introduces himself, this time with a documentary that dives (no pun intended) deep into his early life and career journey.

Escaping war in Bosnia, fleeing with a cassette tape of a local folk singer, Salvatore relocated to Sweden where he discovered a new world of music, citing 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me and Wu-Tang’s 36 Chambers. Falling in love with hip-hop, he began writing relatable songs about war — eventually turning towards DJing in 2006.

With his goals in sight, Salvatore planted himself in Stockholm to pursue dance music. In the documentary, he details his relationship with Sebastian Ingrosso — even humoursly comparing his mentor to “his favorite Power Ranger of Swedish House Mafia.”
