Two dead, 57 others hospitalized at Sunset Music Festival

A 21-year-old and a 22-year old have passed away following Tampa’s annual Sunset Music Festival, which took place at Raymond James Stadium Memorial Day Weekend.
Katie Bermudez of Kissimmee was taken to the hospital Saturday and died Monday, while Alex Haynes of Melbourne was hospitalized Saturday and died the following day. Causes of death has not been revealed, though it is suspected that Bermudez and Haynes died of drug overdoses and dehydration, with temperatures skyrocketing to nearly 100 degrees during each of the fest’s two days.
57 others were hospitalized, with Tampa police also reporting 25 felony arrests, 8 misdemeanor arrests, 16 marijuana civil citations and four noise complaints.
