Ushuaïa founder Yann Pissenem confirms Space Ibiza will not be torn down

Despite fans’ fear that Space Ibiza would be torn down after changing hands in 2017, Ushuaïa Ibiza founder Yann Pissenem confirmed at IMS Ibiza that the venue would indeed remain. He made sure to keep a tight lid on other major details, like the establishment’s new name.

“I’m still working on the name. I’m not ready right now to speak on it,” Pissenem said. “I’m going to try and give you the best product and best experience.”

As of now, all that is known is that the new club will be “kept as a disco,” and dedicated to a new type of audience akin to that of Ushuaïa.

As Carl Cox prepares to take on his final summer residency at Space Ibiza, both clubgoers and the king himself have long begun mourning the loss of a truly irreplaceable club. While Space Ibiza’s future is still relatively unknown, it is hopeful that the re-imagined venue will return in full force come next summer season. Stay tuned to Dancing Astronaut for further details.
