Watch Armin van Buuren spin a vinyl-only set from his ‘Armin Only: Embrace’ tour

Armin van Buuren has always had an inclination toward spinning sets on vinyl. He stuck with this traditional method as other DJs began picking up CDJs in the early noughties, only giving into new trends by 2005. The trance legend has graced fans with the opportunity to see an “Armin Only” tour for each of his most recent albums, which include extended sets by him in addition to enhanced production and live cameos. A major hallmark of his Armin Only: Intense tour a few years ago was his hour of pure vinyl spun on each stop. He opted to resurrect this trend for his most recent Embrace tour, posting his performance from its first stop at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on May 6. Van Buuren opens with crowd favorite, “Communication part III” and continues playing mostly older productions of his throughout, including “Sail” and an Alex M.O.R.P.H. remix of his seminal hit with Susana, “Shivers.” Watch the full video above.
