The Geek x VRV release music video for their debut single ‘Origami’

After first making waves with their mellowed out remix of Kaskade & CID‘s “Us,” the Parisian duo The Geek x VRV followed it up with the eponymous first single from their upcoming EP Origami. Set to be released by GRiZ‘s All Good Records, the EP will be sure to showcase the group’s blend of hip hop and soul-inspired sound with a US tour, featuring a live band, to follow.

Now they have released a highly stylized music video to accompany the single. Featuring a distinctly retro, ’90s vibe with a heavy dose of pastel colors, the video follows the main character as she performs a series of odd tasks. Razor blades are put in match boxes, eyeballs are French pressed, and a raw chicken is gift-wrapped. On the whole the video is filled with equally idiosyncratic images but, in a strange fashion, does manage to match the relaxed, midtempo vibe of the track itself.
