22-year-old man dies at Electric Forest
Tens of thousands of fans descended upon Rothbury, Michigan’s Double JJ Resort last weekend for the eighth iteration of Electric Forest. Unfortunately, one young attendee never made it home. Police are currently investigating the death of Michael John Stephenson, who passed away on Monday morning as the festival came to a close. He was 22 years old.
Stephenson, a resident of Lansing, Michigan, had a medical emergency around 9:30am on Monday, and later died. State police and the Oceana County medical examiner’s office are currently awaiting results from the autopsy to determine the cause of death. Authorities have yet to release further information regarding Stephenson’s passing.
