DA Premiere: Low Steppa & Bot – Vibe With Me (Original Mix)
Bot and Low Steppa are two of the most interesting producers on the fringe of the bass house scene. Between Bot’s jauntily cerebral Main Course releases and Low Steppa’s deep rhythms, the pair of producers are among the genre’s most uniquely tasteful voices. It comes as no surprise that their partnership for the two track EP, This Is/Vibe With Me, is deeply compatible.
Of the EP, Bot says, “I have been a fan of Low Steppa since his previous project, and I have been feeling the sound he has embraced in the past years a lot. I’m very proud of this collaborative EP, one for the dance floor that reflects both of our styles.”
Low Steppa added: “It was great to work with BOT and to sign this EP to one of my favourite labels TAB.”
Released on German imprint This Ain’t Bristol, “Vibe With Me” draws upon the artists’ strengths equally. Centered around relentlessly sinister, but simplistically upbeat loops, and typified as much by Low Steppa’s lo-fi inspirations as it is by Bot’s steely synthesis, “Vibe With Me” is a track for the more discerning bass aficionado.
