Go behind the scenes of Eric Prydz’s ‘EPIC 4.0’ live show
“I could go out on a limb and say it’s the best looking, by far, dance music live show ever. Ever, ever, ever,” says Eric Prydz at the outset of a new video exploring the creation of the producer’s famed live show. What follows is a 7 minute exploration of the producer’s iconic “EPIC” show, now in it’s fourth iteration. From tour bus production to musical inspirations — even Zane Lowe chimes in — Mashable has provided an in-depth look into the ambitious project.
In the latter half of the video, the Mashable team gets into it with Prydz’ staff and breaks down the jaw dropping visuals which include LED panels, an enormous screen cube, and a malleable hologram. According to the video, the staggeringly beautiful graphics are reactive, meaning the production team responds to Eric’s specific set with a host of custom visual commands.
