Justin Jay & Friends – Turn Around (ft. Josh Taylor & Ulf Bonde)

Justin Jay & Friends have kept the content flowing at an astounding rate since the inception of the collaborative project. Already closing out the third part of their album, Fantastic Voyage (The Album!), the LA supergroup adds the final track to the installment with returning friends Josh Taylor and Ulf Bonde for “Turn Around” via Soul Clap Records.

The majority of the Justin Jay & Friends releases have either fallen into the indie, funky disco, or techier side of the house space. “Turn Around” slows things down to an indie-pop pace while still maintaining funky and indie elements like lulling vocals and vibrating guitar plucks. Conjuring images of sunset boat rides and walks along the coast, Justin Jay & Friends manage to flawlessly translate the word “summer” into a soothing, melodic slow-jam.
