Martin Garrix’s new track ‘Oops’ to be theme for E3’s ‘YouTube Live at E3’

Martin Garrix is a big fan of video games — which shouldn’t come as a surprise given that, at 20 years old, the Dutch producer is just on the cusp of graduating from “wunderkind” status. His fandom recently led to the main stage staple being tapped to provide the theme for YouTube‘s upcoming livestream of the video game industry trade fair, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Entitled “Oops,” the track will premiere June 13 as YouTube broadcasts its twelve hour “YouTube Live at E3” program.

With Garrix’s announcement that the track will feature 8-bit sounds to honor video games, it’s possible that “Oops” could be the ID the producer debuted over Memorial Day Weekend at the Indy 500 Snakepit.

Above is a brief interview with Martin Garrix where the producer discusses his love of games and how that went into writing “Oops.”
