Moby asks Oliver Heldens to remix his classic track, ‘Go’

Oliver Heldens continues to impress with releases under his deep house HI-LO moniker. Songs like “Ooh La La” and his recent “Powerhauz Workout Mix” see the producer deftly blending the dark appeal of genuine underground sounds with the infectious allure of commercial house. His latest release, a remix of Moby’s “Go,” is a similar undertaking.

In honor of recent retrospective efforts–a memoir, a compilation album–Moby reportedly approached Heldens to his classic single. It’s easy to see why. While it’s a swift departure from the ambient infused original, the HI-LO cut is a lively take complete with bongos, brushy hi-hats, and rubbery synths. It’s a commendable effort from Heldens who continues in earnest to explore music outside the typical Spinnin’ spectrum.
