Behind the scenes of Skrillex, Chance The Rapper, and Hundred Waters’ Colbert performance

Signing Florida band Hundred Waters to OWSLA seemed, at first, a strange move for label boss Skrillex; up until that point, the focus had been on acts that were strictly electronic. However, the group’s blend of live and electronic elements proved to be not only resonant but versatile, as Skrillex eventually enlisted Chance The Rapper to provide a verse on his remix of the band’s “Show Me Love.” All three parties eventually circled back together to perform a slightly altered version on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

NEST HQ has now released behind-the-scenes footage of Hundred Waters, Skrillex, and Chance — along with their backing band — rehearsing for their Colbert spot. The video also tracks “Show Me Love’s” history, resulting from a bad day experienced by Hundred Waters’ vocalist Nicole Miglis, to Skrillex’s first take, and the arrival of Chance.

Skrillex’s remix of “Show Me Love” is also now available as a reward for donating to National Compassion Fund Orlando in recognition of the attack at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando in June. Interested parties can find the donation location here.
