12th Planet’s deleted tweet suggests Skrillex, Bruno Mars collaboration is forthcoming

Last month, Skrillex revealed that he was hitting the studio with one of the biggest stars to arise from the pop music industry in the last decade, Bruno Mars. After arguably reviving the career of another pop star (Justin Bieber) alongside his new group-mate Diplo, one can only speculate as to the level of songwriting, production, and overall musicianship that will be present in a collaboration with someone as talented as Mars.

When Sonny announced the collaboration, he described the track was “so f–cking different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before.” Dubstep producer and frequent collaborator 12th Planet disclosed in a since-deleted tweet that he also loves the track, remarking: “Got this Bruno Mars and Skrillex collab stuck in my head this morning. OMFG it’s large.” 12th Planet’s tweet would suggest that the release of the collaboration is imminent.
