DA Premiere: Pan-Pot – Win Some (Original Mix)
Pan-Pot have established themselves as major international players in the darker, industrial realms of techno. The duo recently released their second LP The Other on their own Second State imprint, showcasing their true versatility as artists in pairing their stimulating brand of techno with left-field electronica.
Nicole Moudaber has recruited the pair to play a brief cameo on MOOD Records, and the result is a two-track EP playfully titled Win Some. The A-side, which Dancing Astronaut is exclusively premiering, is a brooding dancefloor concoction, with heavy percussion and cunning spurts of roaring synths falling into a murky soundscape. Simplistic in nature, “Win Some” is a highly meditative piece guiding listeners into a cathartic, entranced state.
Win Some is out on Mood on Friday, July 29.
