The fusion of pop and electronic genres like future bass has increasingly begun to takeover commercial listeners’ ears with acts like The Chainsmokers, Jack Ü, and Flume utilizing sonic elements once thought to be too experimental to craft radio hits. A movement of bedroom producers trying to develop their own future pop sound has since spawned as a result, including new artist Matt Kali with his single “Raw.”
Featuring the shining vocals of Armen Paul, Kali layers tropical melodies, crisp drums, and an irresistible bass groove to produce a new original that is catchy without bordering on cheesy.
