Ultra Europe cancels first day due to dangerous weather conditions

The first day of Ultra Europe has officially been cancelled. The organizers announced the news via Facebook, citing “dangerous wind conditions.”

Ultra Europe, which takes place in Split, Croatia, was set to host Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Alesso, DJ Snake and more on the Main Stage Friday night, as well as Solomun, Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg and more on the Resistance stage.

The festival shared preliminary warnings of the weather earlier in the day, delaying the opening of the festival: “Your safety is our main priority and we are working to ensure the event is prepared and ready for everybody upon the gates opening,” Ultra wrote on Facebook.

Despite the first day’s cancellation, Ultra has promised to make up for it by offering an earlier entry time, as well as some guest appearances from Day 1’s headliners. What’s more, single and two-day ticket holders will be allowed entry throughout the remainder of the weekend. They’ve yet to clarify, however, if 3-day ticket holders will be receiving partial refunds.
