Dillon Francis lends his talents to Jake Miller’s latest offering ‘Parade’
Emerging pop and hip-hop vocalist Jake Miller has released a new seven-track EP titled Overnight. The EP landed in mid-August via Warner Bros. Records, marking a new threshold in Jake’s burgeoning career. On the EP, the up-and-coming Florida-native rapper recruits a helping hand from none other than Dillon Francis on “Parade,” making for a complementary blend of styles with his pop lyrics crooning over infectious dance chords. With Miller’s vocal work as a canvas, Francis’s remix work is reminiscent of his James Hersey-assisted “Coming Over” as well as “Without You” alongside Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.
This time however, we see Francis’s production taking more of a backseat, letting Miller’s upbeat Bieber-esque love lyrics carry the tune. Lying somewhere at the intersection of poolside pop, progressive house and tropical house, “Parade’s” strumming guitar chords mesh with Francis’ signature vocal pitch-bending for one of the strongest selections off of Miller’s latest project.
