Lido officially announces new album, ‘Everything,’ coming in October
Lido is a man of many sounds, ranging from The Passion Project, his experimental R&B-inspired EP with Santell, to his most recent production work on Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book. The budding producer is now gearing up to release his next album titled Everything, as unveiled in a short teaser trailer.
The video, which clocks in just under a minute and thirty seconds, consists of a monologue over fragmented footage of a quarreling couple. Lido, who is featured in the film as the boyfriend, speaks of the difficult and broken relationship as the root of the album. He says, “I hit the bottom and this is what I found,” as the clip wraps with a brief instrumental preview and a title card of Everything and its release date, October 7.
Lido tweeted “I’m done waiting” and “Everything is about to begin” in anticipation of the album, which is poised to be an emotional offering based on the trailer.
