New game show ‘Beat Shazam’ is headed to Fox
A new musical game show, entitled Beat Shazam, is making its way to Fox. The unscripted show, inspired by Shazam, will be centered around contestants competing to identify songs, with only the most successful of contenders going against the app itself for the grand prize.
Television producer Mark Burnett will be at the helm, with Jeff Apploff and Shazam Entertainment Limited joining him as partners.
In addition to Beat Shazam, Fox is making way for a second new game show – an adaptation of UK show You’re Back in the Room, which will see Taye Diggs as its host. Paul Oakenfold’s Electronic Music Awards is also slated to arrive this fall via the television network.
