San Holo & Yellow Claw join forces on ‘Old Days’ [Free Download]

Yellow Claw, despite their usual approach in creating raucous, festival-ready festival productions, have taken some time recently to explore a different side of their musicality. The result was “Invitation,” a poppy, dancehall-influenced clip. In addition, the boys put together a free compilation for their label titled The Barong Family Album, which showcases the imprint’s ethos while providing followers a new set of tracks to “turn up” to.

The compilation opens with “Old Days,” a collaborative endeavor put forth by Yellow Claw and burgeoning Dutch talent San Holo. Though the brash sounds of Yellow Claw are undeniably present, especially when it comes to the clip’s chunky hardstyle-esque kicks within the drop and sharp synth usage, the duo also allow San Holo’s softer influence to shine through. Celestial bursts of melody paired with nostalgic lyrics and future bass elements give “Old Days” a varietal edge that makes it yet another standout production for their repertoire.
