Martin Garrix made his American TV debut last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The young producer appeared on the show with collaborator Bebe Rexha to perform their recent hit “In The Name of Love.” In a major departure from the usual television performance mode, the live set up didn’t include a single turntable. Instead, Garrix plays guitar throughout the track with The Roots acting as a backing band for the two.
Together, the group performed a vital take on the original which debuted at this year’s Ultra Europe festival. Whether or not the Rexha track will make an appearance on Garrix’s long delayed debut album remains to be seen. Though the producer recently inked a distribution deal with Sony, he’s still playing coy with details.
