Bambook breathe new life into ‘Narrow Road’ with edit package
Bambook made their Culprit debut in 2014 with a four track EP titled Hearts & Roads. The standout selection was one of two originals featured on the EP, an emotive deep house cut titled “Narrow Road.” Now both Bambook and Monte have provided fresh imaginations of the track as part of an edit package that is being offered as a special free download, in light of Amsterdam Dance Event this week.
Bambook’s 2016 rework of the track is exactly that. The duo take their melodic original and restructure it into a kinetic techno production. Monte’s edit also provides a stirring rendition, toning down the more melodic elements from the original and supplementing the composition with a syncopated breakbeat foundation.
With Bambook playing the Jeudi Records label night at ADE on October 21 and the Flashmob Ltd vs. Connected showcase on on October 22, it’s likely that at least one of these edits will make its way into their sets.
