DA Premiere: Marco Bailey – Gravity Drag (Original Mix)
Marco Bailey has reached a point in his two-decade long career where he craves the simplicity of pure, unadulterated techno. To ensure he satisfies his craving, the Belgium native recently launched his MATERIA party brand where he selects a handful of acts sharing his musical vision to provide an impactful experience to guests.
Another item on Bailey’s agenda focuses on releasing new music, in which he’ll be taking to his new MBR Limited imprint to release 20 limited-edition tracks that showcase his new direction. The first iteration comes as his new Gravity Drag EP, a dark offering which drops on October 21. Its title track is as heavy as its title implies, tying together abundant percussion, cunning synth stabs and warbly bass into a neat bundle that commands full attention on the dancefloor. It seems as though Bailey is painting a dystopian picture of his sonic future, one which techno fans are likely to ironically welcome with positivity.
