Flosstradamus share music video for Post Malone collaboraton, ‘Came Up’

In July, Flosstradamus teamed up with “White Iverson” star Post Malone to release the wistfully hopeful future bass track “Came Up.” The song also features contributions from Graves, Key!, and FKi1st. Now, the trap-influencing duo have released a music video to accompany the song, which looks back to their origins and celebrates their success.

The video begins with Flosstradamus’ Curt Cameruci, who produces under the Autobot moniker, reminiscing about the duo’s early days in Chicago, formulating the blend of hip hop and electronic music which would define their career:

“Josh and I were trying to come up as DJs in Chicago and we would try to play these hip hop parties and try to play these house music parties and it just didn’t…we didn’t fit in anywhere. And so we just started our own night…We wanted to do what we wanted to do and I think a lot of kids in Chicago wanted that too.”

Clearly, Curtis and Josh’s assumptions were accurate, as seen in the packed, frenzied crowds in the concert footage which permeates the video’s latter half. Flosstradamus’ contributions to the trap genre have earned the duo headlining sets at major festivals across the country as well as a number of high profile collaborations. It is safe to say, as the song and video suggest, that the duo have “come up” strongly.
