Kraftwerk nominated for Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame

If there’s one group that can be credited with forever changing the course of electronic music as we know it, it’s Kraftwerk. The legendary German band are widely known as one of the foremost innovators in the genre — if not the original progenitor of the entire scene.

Now, the robots may be getting the official recognition they deserve. Kraftwerk have been nominated for the Rock of Roll Hall ‘n’ Fame for its class of 2017. The group have been nominated alongside Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, Tupac Shakur, Janet Jackson, Journey, Yes, and more. This isn’t the first time Kraftwerk have been nominated. In fact, the group have long been hailed as one of the top deserving bands yet to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. Will this finally be the year they make? We can only hope.
