Unlike Pluto makes his Mad Decent debut in style with a 2-track bi-polar EP ‘Show Me Love.’ Michelle Buzz joins Pluto on the soulful dub opener of the same name and there are too many elements to identify in what is easily his most layered production to date. On “Show Me Love” organic guitar strumming is woven through broad shouldered dubstep groans, a style reminiscent of much of his past productions that made their impact with silky sooth melodies, barbed vocal hooks and bombastic drops. On “Soul” things get decidedly different. Pluto ditches the half timed drops and musclebound kicks for hazy electronica and fluttering percussion. It’s Q’Aila who really shines on the back half of this EP, stealing the spotlight thanks to Pluto’s decision to subdue the instrumental this time around. The EP is yet another pristine effort from the up-and-comer who’s knack for melodies is second only two his brilliant sound design.
