Callie Reiff – Shadow Dancing (Remixes)
17-year-old bass prodigy, Callie Reiff, is making sure that she leaves 2016 on the top of everyone’s minds. After a massive summer of shows that included going back-to-back with Mija and playing alongside Brillz and Ghastly, the NYC talent released back-to-back singles on Fool’s Gold — “Shadow Dancing” and “Jawbreaker” with KANDY — which has now been extended into a full EP with three new remixes of “Shadow Dancing.”
Miami’s Havok Roth uses Reiff’s original the most sparingly as he turns the track into a flogging hybrid of clamoring percussion and vicious synths. Lil Texas applies a Jersey Club touch to “Shadow Dancing” with an infectious groove attached, while JSTJR reworks the arrangement to have a syncopated character that will surely be a favorite at upcoming live shows.
In its entirety, Callie Reiff’s Shadow Dancing EP is a great note for the young producer to go out on while she gears up for a promising 2017.
