Listen to Diplo and Cashmere Cat’s new productions on The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ album
The Weeknd’s long-awaited third artist album Starboy has officially arrived, bringing an impressive 18 new tracks from the R&B star. While we’d previously received stellar singles such as The Weeknd’s two Daft Punk collaborations, “Starboy” and “I Feel It Coming,” the album has now unearthed a few new surprises: productions from Cashmere Cat and Diplo.
The first, “Nothing Without You,” features both songwriting and production credits from Thomas Pentz, or Diplo. The song is a sappy R&B jam with subtle Diplo fingerprints spread throughout, albeit masked in more traditional pop production.
Meanwhile, Cashmere Cat has produced four new songs for Starboy. The producer’s involvement in the LP was confirmed earlier this month, following The Weeknd’s own contribution to Cashmere Cat’s new album with “Wild Love.” Cashmere Cat’s production credits include “True Colors,” “Attention,” “All I Know,” and “Die For You.”
