Carl Cox officially partners with Babylon festival in Australia

Electronic music fans down under will be chanting “oh yes! oh yes!” come spring when dance floor sorcerer Carl Cox makes his way to the Australian desert.

Ibiza’s house and techno king has announced a partnership with Babylon, a three-day camping festival in Australia set to debut in March, that will see the legendary dance icon headline the lineup. With decades of experience charting some of rave culture’s most iconic parties, Carl will also help curate the musical programming for the festival.

“The magic of a three-day camping event is something every Australian music fan should experience, especially in these amazing locations,” Cox says. “I travel to and play at Burning Man regularly, and many other destination festivals of this kind, so I am proud to be a part of Babylon and I am looking forward to playing an extended set in the spirit of an outdoor journey like this.”

Babylon’s star-studded music roster includes Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke, All Day I Dream founder Lee Burridge, Pleasurekraft, Infected Mushroom, Feed Me, Joris Voorn, Danny Daze, Max Cooper and more slated to play across three stages. Touted as a “music, arts and lifestyle escape,” Babylon will also include theme camps, art installations, market stalls, a food village and workshops.

Babylon takes place simultaneously on March 10-13 at Northern Grampians in Victoria and March 10-12 at Capertee Valley in New South Wales. Tickets are available now.
