Gorillaz made a naughty Christmas playlist titled ‘Dirty Santa Party’; listen to it here
As the year draws to a close, Gorillaz fans are undoubtedly growing increasingly eager for the virtual band’s 2017 album. In the holiday spirit, the project’s lewd cartoon bassist, Murdoc Niccals, has shared an 11-track playlist entitled “Dirty Santa Party.” As the name suggests, the playlist is filled with Christmas songs which celebrate the holiday’s sordid side.
“Dirty Santa Party” includes songs such as AC/DC’s “Mistress for Christmas,” Tom Waits’ “Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis,” and the succinctly titled “Fuck Christmas,” sung by Monty Python’s Eric Idle. Listen to the full playlist below.
The new playlist follows last month’s feature, “Russel’s ‘Caturday’ Playlist” for Puss Puss Magazine. Gorillaz said of the new playlist: “Fresh (although at the same time, quite the opposite) out of hosting his very own Dirty Santa party, Murdoc shares his soundtrack to get you feeling festive.”
