Former ghost producer Maarten Vorwerk releases ‘You’re the One’ under own name
Ghost producing is a term that has been widely associated with dance music in recent times. A substantial portion of famous big room acts, in particular, have allegedly used ghost producers for a number of hit songs in the past. Ghost producing is definitely frowned upon by a number of producers worth their salt, and rightly so.
Maarten Vorwerk became famous as one of the industry’s most prolific – and talented – ghosts, regularly creating new tracks for illustrious DJs with no true talent. However, over the course of a year or so, he has emerged from the shadows to shed light on this scandalous practice, prevalent in the seedy underbelly of the EDM industry. The revelation of this malpractice has given him the recognition he deserves, has culminated in a new release on Spinnin’ Records.
