Launchpad: 13 Future Bass and Indie Electro Tracks perfect for any mood

The Launchpad is a bi-weekly series showcasing fresh new music hand-selected by our staff. The tracks in these curated playlists come from both underground and mainstream artists that we love. If you’d like to see your music featured in the Launchpad, you can submit it for consideration here.

For this week’s first installment of Launchpad, we’ve put together a list of some of the hottest future bass and indie electro tracks out right now. What better way to kickstart 2017 and get over the post-holiday blues?

Highlights:

First on our list is the epic mashup track “Lorde Flumesworth” by the popular electronic producer, Pluto. The track is a thoughtful mix between Lorde’s “Ribs”, Flume’s “Take A Chance”, as well as some Ryan Hemsworth.

Next up we have “Tune In Tune Out” by Dutch outfit, CUT_. “Tune In Tune Out” is the perfect combination of dark and light sensibilities, melding poppy vocals with deep synth and bass sequences. CUT_ explained in a recent interview, “we want to belong to both worlds; the dark alternative electronics that excite us, as well as forward thinking pop that sticks our heads… we’re always trying to combine our love for the two.”

Continuing our progression is an addictive future bass track, “About You”, released last month by Copenhagen-based group, AV AV AV. This act has been making huge waves as of late, getting recognized by some of the industry’s biggest names such as Fatboy Slim and Diplo, who have categorized AV AV AV as “the sound of the future” and “future gospel,” respectively.

Our final highlight from today’s list is BlapDeli’s “Big Room (feat. SWRV).” A single from the act’s latest EP, LUSH, “Big Room” starts with a methodical layering of transposed and high-pitched vocals before quickly transitioning into a very unique future bass synth drop. The track proves its depth as it slightly changes its mood for the second half of the track, exploring a soundscape which is simultaneously tribal and dreamy.
