The M Machine release new single ‘Voyeur from debut album

Bay Area-based duo The M Machine are a creative powerhouse that have carved out their own space in the quickly-saturating electronic music scene. Their sound, which varies between dark, technical electronica and airy, vocal indie, goes along with a particular visual style and always conveys a sort of deep meaning — a quality that is lost on many artists in the current music industry.

Late in 2016, much to the joy of their dedicated fans, the duo announced that their debut album, Glare, will be coming out in 2017 via friend and collaborator Mat Zo‘s independent label Mad Zoo. Soon after the announcement, they released the first single from the album, “The Warehouse,” and gave fans a glimpse into what their long-awaited debut album holds in store.

The second single, “Voyeur,” does even more to show that they still know how to create their signature sound; the trademark style that made the two-part Metropolis EP such an incredible journey. A steady arpeggiated bass provides a solid foundation for the majority of the track, with high staccato synth notes scattered here and there to give additional presence.

The duo’s signature indie vocal style can be heard in full magnificence, with both members singing and harmonizing with one another. In true The M Machine fashion, well-designed reverb subtly surrounds everything and provides deep background atmospheres in which one could easily get lost.
