Kygo premieres two new tracks during surprise Ultra Miami set
After a great deal of speculation from followers and the media tonight, Kygo confirmed theories of himself being the surprise “special guest” at Ultra’s main stage as he stepped behind the decks at 9:30pm on Friday night. During his brief twenty-minute performance, the Norwegian made sure to squeeze in two brand-new IDs. Both tracks embody his new aural aesthetic, painting a pop-heavy soundscape accented with tropical house undertones and memorable vocals.
Kygo enlisted rising singer John Newman for vocal assistance on the first track “Never Let You Go,” a warm tune infused with folk accents. The second ID, whose working title is “Kids In Love,” is a piano-filled ballad with an emotive melodic arrangement.
