Welsh producer Tom Demac has been in the game for quite some time. Since founding his own Electronique Audio label in 2004, the now-London-based producer has been a prolific purveyor of techno and house music – valuing innovation above all else.
In 2017, Demac embarked on an endeavor he’s dubbed the XII Series, wherein he will provide a new original track during each month throughout the year. In January, the artist crafted “Aurora” – a cerebral, and at times, acidic take on deep house which thoroughly intrigues. However, it is Demac’s sophomore entry to the series which really has us stunned.
Released on the tail-end of February, “Muyu” caught the attention of many Californian’s when Kristian Beyer of Âme mixed it into his set at San Diego’s CRSSD festival. Vacillating between abrasive metallic lead segments and spacious breaks, “Muyu” is one of the most engaging tribal techno tracks to be released in recent times.
With the quality and diversity of the XII series thus far, we’re incredibly eager to see what Tom Demac has in store for March.
