ATB wrote his iconic single ‘9PM (Till I Come)’ 20 years ago

Trance was settling into its “Golden Age” in 1997, becoming the new electronic genre that captured everyone’s attention and even began creeping into the mainstream. ATB quickly placed himself at the helm of this musical movement with one of his most career-defining compositions, “9pm (Till I Come).” The hit was written and road-tested extensively in the year prior to its 1998 release as a single and its re-release as part of his debut LP Movin’ Melodies.

The track became an instant success, ruling dance-floors worldwide with its memorable, Balearic-inspired central hook and sultry vocal samples. A true embodiment of timelessness, “9pm (Till I Come)” remains a crowd favorite today when dropped during classics sets.

ATB recently released his 10th album neXt, which shows off both the main-stage-appropriate and the downtempo sides of his production spectrum. Order it here.
