Gorillaz grant intimate view of their ‘Spirit House’ with Sonos

Gorillaz are celebrating the pending release of their album Humanz by gifting their fans a unique experience in New York, Berlin, and Amsterdam. In conjunction with leading sonic engineering brand Sonos, the virtual band will be utilizing projection mapping technology and cutting-edge sound to create real-life “spirit houses” for all to see.

Each exhibition will feature an intimate look of what life looks like in the band’s world by way of their home lounge. Attendees will experience the room as though they are living in it, viewing special art installations set to a soundtrack of new and exclusive music, much of which will likely come from their new LP. Bassist Murdoc Niccals advises those interested, “Come and bathe in high-tech sound, feast on unearthly visuals, and let the experience take you on the ultimate trip.”

The Sonos and Gorillaz Spirit House experience will take place in Brooklyn from April 21 – 23, Berlin from April 28 – 30, and Amsterdam on May 6. Watch a brief preview clip below.
