Pegboard Nerds ft. Splitbreed – We Are One (Matroda Remix)
It’s been more than four years since Pegboard Nerds and Splitbreed’s massive track, “We Are One,” hit the Monstercat airwaves.
The glitch hop collaboration was a success for the then-budding label, appealing to both dubstep and hip-hop fans. The PBN duo provided the perfect build, while Splitbreed chimed in with amped-up lyrics for the verses.
On April 24, Matroda released his own take on the track. His version, while light years away from glitch hop, still reflects the original in its build and vocals. Just a bit after the minute mark, the drop hits and Matroda’s own bass-heavy style shines through the work. “It was an honor to remix this legendary track,” says Matroda of his involvement in the remix.
