LCD Soundsystem to replace Frank Ocean at Sasquatch! Festival
Due to production issues beyond the artist’s control, Frank Ocean was forced to cancel his headlining spot at Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington set for May 26. However, Pitchfork reports his spot will be filled by LCD Soundsystem. Frank Ocean is still set to perform at other locations on his current tour, as the production issues seem to be only associated with Sasquatch! After recent collaborations with Calvin Harris, Jay-Z, and Tyler, the Creator, the artist’s tour shows promise.
Unfortunately, those attending Sasquatch! will not be able to experience any of these new tracks live. Fortunately, LCD Soundsystem is willing to step in and help. Al Doyle, LCD member, took to Twitter to express his condolences for Frank Ocean fans, and assure them LCD will “play hard” for them. “We’re not here to repeal & replace Frank Ocean; I’d like to have seen him too,” Doyle admits, “we just got asked to help out, so let’s dance!” Surely, an LCD Soundsystem spectacle can ease some of the pain felt by fans after learning of Frank Ocean’s cancellation.

No artist likes to cancel, & I know it’s a total fucken bummer when you don’t get to see your main hero, but we’ll play extra hard for you.

Srsly Frank Ocean’s show at Brixton towards the end of his Channel Orange tour was incredible. Whole room singing and worshipping.
