Stream Flume’s newest track, ‘Hyperreal’
2017 has been phenomenal thus far for Flume. Harley Streten kicked off the year on his highest note yet, winning the Grammy award for Best Dance/Electronic album for Skin. In the months since, the Australian vanguard has continued to impress with the masterfully eclectic second part of his Skin companion EP and the Skin remix album in April.
Now, Flume has released his newest track, “Hyperreal,” across all digital formats. Originally appearing as a bonus track on the vinyl edition of the sophomore Skin companion EP, the song sees Streten reprise his partnership with Kučka, whom he collaborated with twice on his Grammy-winning album.
“Hyperreal” is a tasteful blend of soothing house rhythms, sultry vocals, and atonal breaks, culminating in a contrast of pure, but unpolished sensibilities. Once again, Flume has proven his mastery for keeping on-beat with the pulse of the dance music community, while simultaneously managing to evade stagnation
