Room Temp Recs enlists Justin Jay, Kovaxx and more for first-ever comp, ‘Melting Pot Vol. 1’
Los Angeles has long served as a veritable melting pot of house and techno enthusiasts. Arising from this tumultuous, yet flourishing creative landscape is Room Temperature Records: the new brainchild of West Coast producers Frtiz Carlton, Lubelski, Rybo, Kevin Anderson, and Ghostea. The label serves as an outlet for forward-thinking house music, and for their inaugural offering, they’ve curated an 11-track compilation titled Melting Pot Vol. 1.
The new compilation brings together a wide array of talent, including established acts like Justin Jay alongside talented newcomers like Ulf Bonde and Eyes Everywhere. What’s more, the compilation features international house producers like Australia’s Kovaxx and the UK’s Josh Brown. It’s a tight knit cast of talent, with the label’s own members each contributing original tracks as well.
