SoundCloud’s CEO releases statement regarding future of the struggling website

Over the past few days, SoundCloud’s future has been in serious doubt, with initial reports suggesting that the online platform only had enough cash to sustain itself until the start of Q4. This widespread speculation has prompted SoundCloud’s co-founder and CEO Alex Ljung to issue an official statement regarding the website’s future.

The emphatic blog post, titled, ‘SoundCloud is here to stay,’ addresses the “insane amount of noise about SoundCloud in the world right now.” Ljung further clarifies that “ SoundCloud is not going away. Not in 50 days, not in 80 days or anytime in the foreseeable future” and also throws light on the “tough decision to let go of some of our staff” was made “to to ensure SoundCloud remains a strong, independent company.”
