As is perpetually the case, Eric Prydz has been quite busy over the past several months. Since May, the Swedish mainstay has debuted his unprecedented EPIC 5.0 show, launched a new label, and revived his EPIC Radio mix series. Currently, Prydz is in the midst of an impeccable summer residency at Hï Ibiza, which will see deadmau5 join him for a coveted B2B set this coming Tuesday, July 18.
Amid the excitement of the aforementioned developments, the most exciting news for fans who prefer the artist’s darker, techno-driven inclinations came last week. On July 6, Prydz revealed that his first release of the year as Cirez D is on the horizon, laconically stating, “New Mouseville coming.” The announcement, which included no information aside from a picture of a blue vinyl with his Mouseville imprint’s logo, left the producer’s fanbase to face a great deal of speculation regarding what the release would entail.
Today, July 14, Eric Prydz released a video teaser of his ongoing “Hï Tuesdays” residency, featuring a haunting techno track. A spokesperson for the artist has confirmed to Dancing Astronaut that the song in the video is indeed a Cirez D production that will appear on the forthcoming Mouseville release. As deeply menacing as it is cerebral, the unreleased track foreshadows that Prydz has a stellar collection of sinister outputs on the horizon.
