12th annual Gem & Jam delivers jam-packed line-up, with STS9, Lettuce, more

Gem & Jam Festival is officially returning to the Pima County Fairgrounds for the second year, as it celebrates its 12th annual event on January 25 – 28, 2018. As its name suggests, the Arizona-based festival will feature the best in jamtronica, bluegrass, and spacey bass music on 640 acres just south of downtown Tucson.

Topping the bill for 2018 is an eclectic first round of headliners, including: two nights of STS9, Emancipator, Thriftworks, Lettuce, and two nights of [Br]eaking [Bi]scuits, which features members of the Disco Biscuits and Break Science.

Additional phase one line-up support will come from Random Rab, Jade Cicada, space jazz conductor Mike Menert, The Russ Liquid Test, Charlesthefirst, Flamingosis, and Denver-based artists Bass Physics and Marvel Years.

Previously a downtown, city-based event, Gem & Jam made the recent expansion to a desert environment, creating a more expansive nature-based setting with boutique, RV, car, and walk-in camping. Gem & Jam will feature more than just world-class visuals, unique stage designs, and a jam-packed jam line-up to boot. Attendees can also explore feature artist galleries, live painting, experiential installations, daytime workshops, gem and mineral vendors and more.

Visit the festival website for all of the details.
