Frank Ocean drops new song ‘Provider,’ says ‘there’s more to come’

While much of the world was watching 2017’s iteration of MTV’s Video Music Awards, Frank Ocean took the opportunity to pull something a move straight out of his wheelhouse as the artist aired a brand new episode of his Beats 1 show.

On the last episode of blonded Radio back in May, Ocean shared a solo version of “Biking” and the A$AP Rocky, Quavo, Lil Uzi Vert collab “RAF.” But on tonight’s episode — which arrives just shortly after Blonde celebrated its one year anniversary— Ocean’s dealt out yet another killer track entitled “Provider.” In the new track, Ocean name-drops Aphex Twin‘s Richard D. James stating, “Stiff smile just like I’m Aphex Twin.” Alongside the new original track, Ocean debuted a remix to 2 Chainz’s “Rolls Royce Bitch.”

During the show, Ocean also mentioned the possibility of future crafting projects, similar to the spiral staircase he made prior to Blonde. “I can do more,” he said during the show. “And there’s more to come.”

Listen to “Provider” below or episode 007 of blonded Radio here.
