IMLAY releases unique ‘Shurai’ EP on ScreaM Records

IMLAY brings a unique spin to the future bass genre with his fresh Shurai EP. The EP features six widely different tunes that feature artists like Sik-K, Laura Brehm, Anna Yvette, and YESEO. IMLAY knew exactly the sound he was going for and took to the bass to portray his vision.

IMLAY begins the Shurai EP with a chilled-out tune called “Shurai (Low).” The sliding pitched choir sound is perhaps the paramount for the track. In “Decalcomanie” Sik-K pairs up with IMLAY to give us a beautiful sonic decal, which features a hip-hop/pop vocal with future bass-infused elements. The third track on the EP is “Daylight,” which features angelic vocals from Laura Brehm. The track is simplistic in structure and composition, allowing Brehm’s vocals to really shine throughout. The Shurai EP wraps up with “Nine Tails,” “Rule the fire” featuring YESEO and “Cerulean High,” featuring Anna Yvette. Yvette is one of the standout voices of the electronic music scene, working with artists like Jim Yosef, Pegboard Nerds, Axel Boy, Tobu, and Kai Wachi. Her powerful pipes are the icing on the cake during “Cerulean High.”
