MUST LISTEN: Malaa teams up with Dombresky for shattering original ‘Hostyl’

Mysterious masked producer Malaa has teamed up with heavy hitting house sensation Dombresky to produce a chilling original titled, “Hostyl.” The bruising track features raging waves of bass, fragmented samples of vocals, and a rich, layered bass line that makes groovin’ along irresistible. Malaa is known for his otherworldly, ominous style that showcases some of the heaviest beats in dance music, akin to the sounds of Tchami, Drezo, and Rezz.

“Hostyl” follows the release of “Paris ’96,” a track that brought dazzling vintage funk back with striking deep vibes. Malaa also has his own series of curated mixes titled, “Who Is Malaa” that he releases periodically for his SoundCloud followers. His set at Moonrise last weekend featured many originals and a few IDs that can only mean new music is on the way. With his latest, “Hostyl” we can only expect more to come from the masked, unknown phenomenon.
