MUST WATCH: Run The Jewels brought a fan on stage at Lollapalooza and he killed it

Run The Jewels have made a hell of a lot of noise in today’s hip-hop.

Just this weekend Killer Mike and El-P’s committed vision has delivered yet another rad moment as the two brought up a random fan, Jacob Powell, at their Friday evening August 4 Lollapalooza performance to rap their track “Legend Has It.”

After spotting his sign in the crowd reading,”Let me rap ‘Legend Has It,'” the rapper duo told Powell to get up to the stage.

“Clear the motherfucking way,” Killer Mike said as he began to make his way to the barrier. “Get your ass to the stage.”

The crowd could hardly believe their eyes. Powell made it to the stage when El-P said, “You just happened to catch our eye the minute we were just about to do that song.”

Adding “We’re gonna help you do it a capella. The way that we like to do is that you take the center of the stage, you raise your hands to the sky and you say: ‘Chicago, make some noise!”

The city, understandably, lost their minds.  “You’ve got about eight bars maximum before you get the fuck off of here.”

Powell unleashed eight bars, with the help of the rap duo, wowing 60,000 plus people who closed out his incredible turn by chanting his name. In a moment that became an instant legend: Killer Mike lifted Powell, carrying him around the stage, ensuring jaws stayed glued to the floor—all while he continued to throw it down, without missing a word. Watch Powell utterly kill it for yourself here.
