Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff debut ‘Get Lit’ at Blackpool’s Livewire Festival
Will Smith is returning to his throne as the Fresh Prince by debuting a new track at Livewire festival.
Will Smith teamed up with his old collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff for a new track dubbed”Get Lit” and debuted it at Blackpool’s Livewire Festival. This is their first track together since the release of “Lovely Daze” on the DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince Greatest Hits record released in 1998.
Smith announced to the Blackpool Tower Headland Arena crowd that he and DJ Jazzy Jeff made “Get Lit” in response to the recent “chaos and confusion” around the world.
“I wanted to make a song that allowed people to let their light shine. We all have an inner light and sometimes this world…people can say stuff to you and tell you you can’t do and you know you can but when they tell you that it kinda knocks you down a bit right so I wanted to make a record that reminded each and every one of y’all to let your light shine.”
